Angleterre: Soul Survivor Live 2012 – « Kingdom Come »:

With over 30,000 young people attending multiple events throughout this summer, Soul Survivor has clearly had yet another fantastic year. The new live album ‘Kingdom Come’ captures the heart of the summer’s worship as thousands gathered to worship their Saviour.

‘Kingdom Come’ is preceded by the single (and title track) which has been released in the lead up to the full album.

Soul Survivor director and event host Mike Pilavachi explains: “It was an incredibly humbling time, seeing thousands of young people meeting with Jesus and hearing testimonies of how encounters with their Saviour changed them. Worship has always been right at the heart of what we do, and we focused part of our teaching on the importance of worshiping God in good and bad times. Our hope and our prayer is that this album will help people enter in to worship at home, that they might be encouraged and strengthened in their faith. “

The new album features worship led by Beth Croft, Sam Bailey, Tom Field and Rend Collective Experiment, with key anthems from the summer including ‘Kingdom Come’, ‘Go’, ‘My Heart’ and ‘Build Your Kingdom’. The second disc of the album features songs from the ‘Momentum’ event which gathered over 5000 people in their 20s and 30s, with tracks including ‘New Day’, ‘Set A Fire’ and ‘Now is the time for us’.

‘Kingdom Come – Soul Survivor 2012’ will serve as reminder of the things that God did and encourage many to keep pursuing him all year round. The full album is available from 19th November.

England/conférence: Soul Survivor 2012 (30 000 jeunes- August 2012):

England/conférence: Soul Survivor 2012

Soul Survivor is a five day event where thousands of us gather together to journey with God.

The main focus of the events are morning and evening meetings where we spend time worshipping God with music, learning more about Him through His word (the Bible) and waiting on the Holy Spirit to change us and equip us to live lives for Him.

As well as main meetings and seminars we have a bunch of venues from chilled out cafes through to awesome gigs… it’s pretty fun!

what does it look like?

Soul Survivor is about thousands of us seeking God, praising Him, listening to His word and praying for each other. But it’s not just about main meetings. There is the chance to get the low down on all manner of issues in our massive array of seminars.  On top of that there’s the hanging out drinking hot chocolate in makeshift cafes or checking out live gigs.

who is it for?

Soul Survivor is about following Jesus better, so is really aimed at (Christian) young people, though you don’t have to be a Christian to come or part of any particular denomination. We spend times seeking God in our main meetings though these aren’t compulsory… there is loads of other stuff to do. Everyone is welcome, whether they class themselves Christians or not.

where and when is it?

In 2011 the Soul Survivor events are happening over 3 weeks at two different locations:
week a: 27th-31st july, at the stafford showground
week b: 7th-11th august at the bath & west showground
week c: 12th-16th august at the bath & west showground

you can get details of costs and booking here…

some history

Soul Survivor started back back in 1993 and since then our events have grown to see over 28,000 people come along each year. The stuff we do is specifically for young people and younger adults, and seeks to equip us all to worship God and follow Jesus with our whole lives. We’re not about hype, but seek to learn and grow from relevant and biblical teaching and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Angleterre: « Holy Trinity Brompton’s conferences

Holy Trinity Brompton with St Paul’s, Onslow Square (« HTB« ) is an Anglican church in Brompton, London, United Kingdom. The church consists of three church buildings, HTB Brompton Road, HTB Onslow Square and HTB Queen’s Gate, as well as being the home for Worship Central, St Paul’s Theological Centre and The Alpha course. It is where the Alpha course was first developed and is one of the most influential churches in the Church of England.

The church buildings accommodate Alpha, other courses, conferences and meetings during the week and ten services each Sunday. With total Sunday service attendance at around 4,000 people and the Alpha course attracting several hundred guests during the week, HTB oversees a diverse range of activities. HTB’s vision statement is the « evangelisation of the nations and the transformation of society ».

Other activities

Another important activity of HTB is its yearly church camp, named Focus. This takes place over a week at a seaside campsite where typically 3,500 people attend and involve themselves in the many seminars, workshops and recreational activities. The size also attracts some prominent speakers to speak on issues affecting the church and society. Regular such speakers include Mike Pilavachi from Soul Survivor, the Bishop of London Richard Chartres, Frog and Amy Orr-Ewing.

Focus 2012:

Sunday, 22 July 2012: guests Hillsong founders and Papal preacher speak at Focus holiday…

Brian and Bobbie Houston, the Australian founders of Hillsong Church, were guest speakers at HTB’s teaching holiday week, which was launched last night.

Father Raniero Cantalamessa, the Pope’s personal preacher, spoke this morning on the second day of the event.

The Houstons were welcomed by Vicar Nicky Gumbel as he introduced the 21st annual Focus event, which is attended by around 4,300 HTB members and friends, at Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire.

Brian Houston spoke on the subject of ‘glorious obsession’.

Fr Raniero, who is 78 years old and had flown in specially from Rome, spoke on the subject of the Father’s love, reminding everyone that when he had last spoken at HTB’s Focus holiday several years ago he had spoken on Mary, the mother of Jesus.

At the end of his talk, he was given a lengthy standing ovation…
